Really, August?

Okay, there is no possible way that it has been that long since I have added my thoughts to this blog. I can't believe we are looking at the end of summer all ready. I could live in a perpetual state of summer if only Utah allowed it. Flip-flops, shorts and tank tops.... would that not be the life?
So as we look at the end of summer, I do get excited. September is coming soon and guess what? We have cable now! I know that isn't much to some people, but this is the first time we have ever had it. Now that we do, we will be hosting the UFC fight night here. Sep. 19th. All of you who read this (and know where we live) are all welcome to come. There is just one catch, you have to be on time. We can't record it like the rest of you. I know, it stinks, but we'll have to make due. We can't wait to see all of you there!

First trip to the zoo!

On this beautiful memorial day, our little family took a trip to the zoo. We bought our first season pass and I am thrilled! Now we can take trips as often as we like. Kayden had quite a time seeing all the animals. He seems to like the giraffes the most. I think it's because they are so huge! I love watching him there. We needed this trip for our little family. It's been so busy this last week. We added a new puppy to our clan and now we're trying to sell our house. It's been crazy, so we haven't had much family time.
There were a lot of people there today. I think it was the most crowded I've ever seen it there. We had to park way down the street and walk up. But it was worth it. We had a good time.

Not enough pics.

So, recently, I was showing Brandon the blogs of all of our friends and he commented on the serious lack of photos on my blog. I guess I express myself verbally better than I do with photos, so naturally, I forgot. I love taking pictures of Kayden, I have a few of Brandon, hardly any of me, but I will try to remember to add them to this every now and then. Here is one of my favorites of Kayden. It includes two of the things I love the most. My family and my horses.
Anyhow..... I'll be better from now on!!!

Wormy.

I've never met a child quite like mine. Of course every child is unique, but mine seems to be a person all his own. Working in the garden last week, Kayden discovered worms. Most children either think they are gross, which is cool. Or they are afraid of them. I have yet to meat a child like mine, who upon meating a worm, holds them ever so gently and says; "Oohh.... cute wormy worm. Your just a baby worm. Oohhh, your so cute." He enjoyed them so much we constructed a "worm farm" out of a tupper-ware container and some dirt. Eventually the worms dried up, so we put them back in there "home" of the garden. Every time we go into the yard now he insists on finding more worms, all the while toating them around telling them they are so cute and yes, even naming them.

MONSTER TRUCK SHOWS WERE AWESOME!
Kayden absolutely loved it! The trucks were, I think, the best I've ever seen. They really went full boar! They were jumping a huge hill, doing donut's, and two rolled their truck! Kayden will definitely want to go next year.

My poor baby!

Kayden has an ear infection, again. This is his third one in his short little time here. I feel so bad for him. He was up all night night before last. He only slept from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. He finally fell asleep when I let him watch cartoons at 7:00 a.m. But only for a little while. Man what a long night. You never think about these types of things when you're preparing for a family. Sure you know you'll be up all night, but I think it's more of the "Sure, sure, I may loose some sleep at first, but the baby will adjust." Kayden was a great sleeper in the begining. At first I thought something was wronge with him because he slept so well. But then he started getting teeth.......sigh! It went downhill from there. Since then there has been many a restles nights and some where sleep never is an option. The worst part is when it doesn't even bother you any more. You can still go to work, clean your house and all the other daily life drudgery without much effect on you. That is bothersome. To know that only three years ago, if I would have gotten as little sleep as I did that night, I would have been a walking zombie. Paint me green and call me dead, I couldn't have functioned without my good old 7 hours. Now, sleep, not sleep, uh what's the difference?
Listen to me ramble.....The good news is, Kayden has medication for his hears and it will be better in no time. He isn't even acting like it's bothering him. What a trooper.....

As if we weren't busy enough!

You'd think that we had enough on our hands already, but oh no, we had to add a little more. We have Bailey and Adison for the week. Brandon had to get them off to school today. Poor Brandon, he's never taken care of girls. It's a good thing Bailey can do her own hair!
Kayden's not sure what to think either. He's never had someone except Grandma and Grandpa stay over at our house. It was quite comedic when I came home. Brandon trying to entertain all three kids and wash dishes for me. He's such a good guy. Almost as soon as I got home, I was off again. This time to web 2.0 class, witch is where I am now. I hope he does well with putting them to sleep. Wish him luck!
